Bowie on the stamps Other | Friday 27th January 2017 | Terje David Bowie Royal Mail This January the late Blackstar hero David Bowie would’ve turned 70 years old. In honour for that, Royal Mail has decided to issue a set of stamps and other merchandise within their Music Giants Special Stamp series with images of Bowie’s album covers and him performing at his live concerts. The album covers feature images from Hunky Dory, Aladdin Sane, Heroes, Let’s Dance, Earthling and Blackstar. The other four will be of Bowie performing live in The Ziggy Stardust Tour (1973), The Stage Tour (1978), The Serious Moonlight Tour (1983) and A Reality Tour (2004). You as well can purchase these star-studded stamps from 14 March 2017 from Royal Mail website and from thousands of Post Office branches, however they are available to pre-order now. You have to be quick though, there is only 950 items available. Bowie is the third musician to be featured on the stamps following The Beatles and Pink Floyd.
