Love and Hip Hop Atlanta & Basketball Wives LA

Other | Wednesday 26th June 2013 | Emmanuel

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta has hit us again for another season, Stevie J, Mimi, Joseline, K. Michelle, Rasheeda, Karlie Redd, Erica and new cast member Traci. The crazy crew are back for more drama, cat fights and he said she said. The first episode aired on VH1 on the 22nd April 2013 and the crew are looking better than ever, you could say that Love and Hip Hop New York has some competition with this cast fashion sense.

Love and Hip Hop originates in New York, it is an American reality television series on VH1, the show follows the life of women who are involved in the Hip Hop world in any way possible, whether are they are the baby momma of an iconic figure in the Hip Hop world, whether they are video groupie or business mangers or artist themselves.

The Basketball Wives LA girls also came back for season two which aired on the 10th September 2012. Draya, Maylaysia, Jackie, Gloria, Laura and new cast member and very close friend to Mayalsia; Bambi and Brooke who was Draya’s friend when first introduced, but soon became a enemy towards the end of series. Basketball Wives LA as well as Miami another America reality Television series which follows the lives of six women who are either the wives, or baby mommas of a basketball player.

Originally, Basketball Wives started in Miami in the wonderful year of 2010, with a wild and aggressive cast, but after sisters Laura and Gloria left, Basketball Wives LA began. It was even said my Gloria in the season two reunion that if she didn’t leave Miami, none of the girls would have got airtime and there would be no LA spin off.

Both Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Basketball Wives LA have had two seasons and follow the lives of each female, one thing that can be said about each female in both programmes is that all of them are about this life, you see how each of them are not one to hold their tongue and neither are they shy to through up their fist when it comes to rocking it out but at the same time, all twelve females are hustling, whether it is in the streets of Atlanta or Los Angeles  all of them are out here trying to make the dollar and make grow.

It is just unfortunate that all of them are not always lady like, the fact that these are black women in position of power, the fact they are black and making their own money, there should be some sort of decorum and class that automatically follows them, but sadly you can see their crazy sides in both season one and season two of both shows, but one thing that can be said is that all twelve woman are always looking good, weave, nails, clothes and make up are forever on point, but it’s going to have to be when you’re on camera.
