Digital leaves his mark on NexGen with an impressive EP

Drum and Bass | Friday 27th May 2016 | Arren

Making his NexGen debut, the legend Digital lands a massive EP.

He follows from his seriously heavy work on ThirtyOne Recordings and Function Records. Once again bringing those old skool flavours with a truly modern touch.

The Brain Damage EP has two weighty originals and a mind blowing remix of long time NexGen affiliate, Rob Sparx’s record ‘Jah’.

The title track sees Digital team up with Drum Cypha with explosive consequences. The end result is a fast paced roller with the original jungle clash drums with and equally 90s style bubbly bass, a surefire dancefloor destroyer!

Next up, Digital turns his attention to ‘Jah’. Injecting a high energy bassline whilst keeping those incredible samples from the original. That siren every time! A modest reworking of an already big tune.

Rounding things off and Digital gets a little deep and murky. ‘Let Them Live’ is a drum & bass tune that’ll sound perfect in Berghain. Absorbing a lot of techno’s style and flipping it round into a bassy monster, this one’s for the 5am crew!

A huge EP from a huge name in drum & bass. You can listen to the tracks below and get your own copy, here.
