DSTRKT 5 completes the huge BoomTown Fair line up

Drum and Bass | Wednesday 9th March 2016 | Arren

Chapter 8 of BoomTown is fast approaching and following from previous years of epicness they are preparing for another grand slam event.

The full line up for the festival’s DSTRKT 5 has been dropped and is huge. It features a pool of top bass talent who’ll rock BoomTown’s neon lit rave district.

2016 sees the area grow in size, now hitting four stages covering anything that has a big bassline. It’s the go to place for the festival’s late night happenings with a selection of some of the UK’s best DJ’s keeping festival goers up till the early morning.

Bang Hai Palace is the focal point, a massive flame throwing structure that dominates the festival site. Making the perfect host for large scale sounds, this year boasting takeovers from Ram Records and Critical Sound with showcases from Full Cycle (Roni Size & Krust) and Playaz (Hype & Hazard). If that weren’t enough, BoomTown have also drafted in more top bass heads with My Nu Leng, TQD (Royal T, DJ Q, Flava D), Dub Phixiz, Taiki/Nulight and Calibre billed, guaranteed to get the party started!

Backing up the Bang Hai Palace is Scrapyard, Robotika and Sewage Works. These new stages will play host to more bass music. The Scrapyard will bring the pain, billing some of the weightiest hardcore acts around including two takeovers across the weekend with PRSPCT and Therapy Sessions ready to hit BoomTown with their mental styles. Sewage Works brings the wacky world of jungle, breakcore music to the festival.

Prehaps the biggest new addition to DSTRK 5 though will be the Robotika stage. Like scientists mix chemicals, Robitika mixes genres and they’ve got some of the craziest mash up DJs around who perform along with true rave royalty. Koan Sounds, Plump DJs, Altern-8, The Upbeats, Slipmatt and many more will spin out ravers all weekend.

Woah! DSTRK 5 sounds a lot like a festival itself, and with names like Leftfield, Parov Stelar, Damian Marley, and Diemantle billed elsewhere at the festival, you'd be a fool to be anywhere but BoomTown.
