Soul Control @ PHONOX Review

House | Friday 11th December 2015 | Jacob

After expanding from their usual lair in the raucous Bunker Club in Deptford to regular slots at Bussey Building, Soul Control hosted Tevo Howard at Phonox on Wednesday night.

Flying the Chicago House legend over from Berlin to play on a Wednesday further illustrated that Soul Control aren’t fucking about. Regulars Jowan Uren and Christian Williams kicked things off with their usual brand of on point selections, followed by Radar Radio deejay Jamie Simkin’s seamless mixing. This set the stage for the ‘Poppa’ to play an evocative live set full of trademark Tevo chords and house groove before Mr Prince rounded up proceedings on several certified belters.

Closing Soul Control after Tevo Howard was amazing. Thanks to everyone that made it down!
