Their tongue-in-cheek name should not be mistaken for a novelty band. This is a group ready to make waves in alternative circles with their intimate vibe and honest sound.
Having split themselves across Cambridge and London over the past few years, Venus Envy have been increasing their profile with a series of performances at clubs and pubs in the capital over the last six months. Quite simply - they have the potential to progress onto bigger and better things. The lead vocals by Margarita Milne are both familiar and unique with something of a nineties feel to them, complimented well by smooth work on guitar, bass, and drums in particular.
Track to hear:
Too often is new music channeled into electronic beats and mediocre drops. This is a fresh alternative sound that swells with genuine musicality, watch this space.
