It’s a strange time in the fashion world right now, we're starting to see a time lapse of fashion coming back again. Disco pants, brogues, bomber jacket and creepers. If you’re a vintage fanatic why not check out these Top five vintage websites to get the best gear for practically nothing. Who cares, it was acceptable in the 80’s right?
1. The online wonderstore to every vintage outlet ASOS Market Place is number one by far. Not only do ASOS have over 50,000 branded and own label products across womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and beauty but they also have their own vintage outlet delivering to over 190 countries around the world from their central distribution in the UK. The marketplace allows you to upload your own vintage items and sell them on to customers (like Ebay but significantly for vintage clothing.) It’s a great way to find quirky little one offs and when you're finished with it pop it back on the market place to sell it on!
2. Oxfam the well-known charity for donating clothing opened Oxfam Originals where they take donated clothing from around the world and modify them to up date their look and sell them on. We know the idea of recycling fashion isn’t something new but we love that Oxfam has really gone to town with this. They open pop up shops in most festivals around the country selling on any vintage pieces that are completely unique and relevant to styles and trends to the newest season. If you're hitting up a music festival this summer keep your eyes peeled for an Oxfam stop&shop to see if you can pick yourself up some clothing legends.
3. Urbanoutfitters.co.uk is the best pace for quirky fashion; it also has its own line of vintage boutique with some real original garments for a little price tag. Also offering student discount spending money never felt so good. They also have over 150 stores around the country, if you can’t find something online pop into one of the stores to see what they have to offer. If its quirky vintage pieces you're looking for Urban is the one for you.
4. Rocket.co.uk another really good website for old school traditional vintage pieces for a good price. From the 1940’s to 1980’s there’s a little something for everyone from every era. Some of the key items that stand out for us from this website is shirts. They have such a wide variety of shirts to choose from. If you’re a “wanna-be Prince of Bel Air” baggy shirt kinda guy, check it out.
5. Ebay.com we all love a bit of Ebay shopping, if you can’t get hold of something its guaranteed to be on Ebay possibly for cheaper. There are some great sellers out there with an eye for vintage and have mini business selling the best pieces. Here are some choices of the best vintage sellers on Ebay. If you still don’t have much luck with them just have a browse through sellers, the possibilities are endless for vintage clothing on Ebay.
