Dour Festival 2013: the place to be
Tuesday 14th May 2013 | Amanda
Glasto, Sziget, Sonar, Pukkelpop, Tomorrowland, Oxegen, Reading/Leeds... Although music festivals used to be considered alternative, they are now clearly the trendiest way to have fun in summer, and for promoters, the best way to make money.
With such headlines as David Guetta, Calvin Harris or Azealia Banks and tickets prices going over £200, the Woodstock vibe is slowly disappearing of the festival grounds…
But what if?... What if there were still festivals organised by dedicated teams, with mental acts and with cheap tickets even if the festival is spreading over four days.
Fortunately for us, there is Dour Festival.
Have ever heard of Dour Festival? Because I had never heard of it until my best friend moved near the city where it takes place.
Dour Festival probably has the most fantastic line-up that electro and alternative fans could ever dream of, for the best length/price ratio.
£106 for 4 days to the sound of Four Tet, Darwin Deez, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Trentemoller, Gold Panda, DJ Shadow, Flying Lotus or Bonobo among many others.
So if you have nothing planned between July 18th and 21st, you know where to go!
