I am in love with this 4 track masterpiece is about to be dropped from this rising force in bass; an essential November purchase!
Released on Pilot Records next week (26th November), this EP cements Rollz' status as one of the most diverse and innovative young producers on the scene. Racking up over five million hits on YouTube, you will have almost certainly heard his classics such as 'Plugged In' and 'Get Some'.
The first track 'Alive' features the crystal-cut vocals of Takura, starting softly before developing into a larger than life shaking dancefloor anthem, already adopted as one of Knife Party's recurring tracks in their mixes. Incredibly catchy, 2013 will be full of this punchy sound. Next comes 'Isotonic', an exciting build up of sounds; isolated piano riffs are contrasted by a surging bass and smattering of drums.
'Triple A' is my favourite; a complete climaxer and I can't wait for this to get dropped at nights across the board. It creeps in with an almost haunting quality thanks to the glittering synth, emerging into silence before delivering an uplifting drive that carries the tune with incredible force. Rounding the collection off is'Madrid.' Capturing the sounds of the sun-soaked city, the combination of sensual vocals and minimal piano is then turned into something bouncy and full of euphoric vibes, a real festival sound.
I can't recommend this EP more highly; it really showcases this exciting producer who seems to be able to give everything he touches a completely fresh injection of flavour.
