Adele is deadly No.1

Monday 15th October 2012 | Raquel

'Someone Like You' is the top song in the funeral world. Creepy?

Adele gets it all, doesn't she? She rules the music world with her sad romantic songs and she's still breaking records and being number 1. The track from last years album 21 entered the the Co-operative Funealcare's chart of top music played at funeals, straight at number 22. The chart has been topped for the last seven years by 'My Way' from Frank Sinatra.

It was concluded that the famous pop music replaced anthems for 2/3 of british funerals and a quarter of the funeral companies refused to play it for matter of taste. Only 4 per cent of funerals still play classical songs.

Check out the top 20 of the most played songs at funerals:

1. Frank Sinatra - 'My Way'
2. Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli - 'Time To Say Goodbye'
