‘The Hunger Games’ star Jennifer Lawrence, named new Miss Dior

Wednesday 10th October 2012 | Laura

The young Hollywood star, who was Oscar nominated in 2010 for her role in Winter’s Bone, has recently become the face of the next Miss Dior handbag campaign, substituting Mila Kunis who is currently the face of the line. Only 22 years old, she is now part of the crowd of Dior Ambassadors such as Marion Cotillard, Sharon Stone, Natalie Portman or Charlize Theron.  The campaign will start in March 2013.

Jennifer was cover girl of November’s Vogue UK, and the first choice of the recent creative director, Raf Simons, who said about the actress: "I was struck by her incredible on-screen presence in this blockbuster films, but also impressed by her powerful interpretations of subtler more rounded characters. Her youth and her classic beauty, but also her force of character and the complexity she's capable of embodying at such a young age, are, for me, both unique and very moving."

The actress´ career is nonstop, performing in two films released this year, House at the End of the Street  and Silver Linings Playbook as well as currently working in the sequels of her blockbuster movies,  X-Men: Days of Future Past and  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire which we could enjoy next year.
