WARNING: Taking Twitter too seriously only makes you a Twit, doesn’t it Lewis Hamilton?

Lewis Hamilton is forced to make an awkward backtrack on Twitter

Yesterday, Lewis Hamilton launched into a diatribe on Twitter after noticing that his McLaren team-mate Jenson Button ‘unfollowed’ him on the social-networking site.

A tweet from a journalist last week made this initial suggestion of Button’s scandalous social faux-pas.  When this so-called journalist suggested that Button instead followed Sauber’s Sergio Perez, who will replace Hamilton after he leaves Mclaren later this year for Mercedes, let’s just say that the s*** really hit the fan.

Hamilton, 27, came to a forgone conclusion, throwing a right strop on Twitter for the world to see.  Hamilton began a series of tantrum-tweets with:  "Just noticed @jensonbutton unfollowed, thats a shame. After 3 years as teammates, I thought we respected one another but clearly he doesn't."

He went on to tweet: "Funny thing is, we are STILL teammates! All good tho, I plan on giving this team & fans all I got til I cross the finish line in brazil!!!"

After throwing his toys out of the pram, Baby Lew-lew realised his error, that’s right.  Button had never even followed him in the first place.  Can I get a hastag #CRINGE trend started anyone?  Seems next time you should channel your inner Sherlock Holmes, Lewis, and properly figure out the mysteries of Twitter before jumping to conclusions.  Remember, when you assume, it makes an ASS out of U and ME ;-).

Hamilton quickly corrected himself so as not to direct any angry fans towards Button’s page, writing: "My bad, just found out Jenson never followed me. Don't blame him! Need to be on Twitter more!"

Button seemed unruffled on his Twitter page, but insiders suggest that Lewis’s latest drama could only exacerbate an already strained working relationship and a tough week.  Yesterday, Hamilton finished a disappointing 5th at the Japanese Grand Prix, which was won by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel.  42 points behind the championship’s current leader, Fernando Alonso, Hamilton has admitted that his hopes of taking the title are fading.

Chin up Lew-Lew, at least you can say that you’ve got Nicole Scherzinger to go home to!  You’ll always take the number 1 title in her heart....Here at The Guestlist Network we suggest that you listen to a PCD classic to make you feel better.
