Georgia May Joins Cavalli During Milan Fashion Week

Tuesday 25th September 2012 | Osh

Roberto Cavalli is known and appreciated in the world of fashion. However, this year’s Milan Fashion Week saw surprises, excitement and a little arguing for the Italian designer.

She is the face of Rimmel London, Hudson and Material Girl and has established her place amongst the best models. Now Georgia May Jagger, daughter of the Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, is to be the face of Just Cavalli fragrances.

Georgia May, who has become known as a model, is one rock star daughter with talent. This cannot be said for all celebrity daughters, but Georgia May along with her sister Elizabeth, has made it big, working with some of hottest brands in London.

So when it was announced on Friday, that the model Georgia May will feature on the new fragrance for Cavalli entitled Just Cavalli, which is set to enter shops in February 2013, who could blame the choice. The 20 year old model is excited about the new ad campaign saying of the brand: “Roberto Cavalli is a great designer. The Just Cavalli brand is very sexy, young and cool. Each collection is very contemporary and colourful; it is clearly for the younger generation who wants to have a trendy look.”

Cavalli is just as complimentary about Georgia May indicating that the model fits the essence of the fragrance perfectly. Her all-round beauty has also been noticed by the owners of Just Cavalli fragrance, Coty Prestige who go on to say how sexy and provocative she is, as well as a fashion icon.

This thrilling news came while Roberto Cavalli was preparing for his spring/summer 2013 collection to be showcased in the Milan Fashion Week.  However, it was not all praise and laughter for the Italian designer.

Yesterday, guests and fashionistas were able to bask in his new collection which moved away from his traditional sexy womenswear and displayed white leather-lace tunics, jungle-printed silk trousers and blouses and black dresses with provocative cut-outs and beaded embellishments.

However, Cavalli was not pleased about the time his collection was displayed. Cavalli hit at Georgio Armani for moving up in the schedule so he wouldn’t be last. The last collection of the week is typically not favoured by designers due to guests and editors wanting to move on, in this case, to Paris, which is the last location of the fashion event.

It is unlikely that either designer needed to worry about their name or where they appeared as they both received great support for their designs, and will undoubtedly inspire the high-street trends set for spring.
