Apple Receives 2 Million iPhone Pre-orders
Tuesday 18th September 2012 | Osh
Pre-ordering seems to be the way forward. At least that’s the conclusion I’m sure Apple have reached after pre-orders for the new iPhone 5 hit 2 million in the first 24 hours.
Personally I have delayed getting an iPhone purely because once I buy one I have a feeling I may have an iPhone forever, and I’d actually like to experience the rest of the competition. However, many people across the world have been waiting the moment when they receive the new Apple product.
The phone, as discussed last week in The iPhone 5 Has Arrived, is thinner and lighter than previous models with a new chip making it faster. Pre-orders were available from Friday and have already doubled that of the iPhone 4. Perhaps these new updates make all the difference.
Although Apple bosses assure that most pre-orders will be delivered on Friday, the demand for the new phone was much greater than initially expected. It has therefore warned that some customers may have to wait until October to receive their latest gadget. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long for yours.
