It’s a Friday night you’ve had plans to go to this oh so cool club night all week . ALAS NO! As you arrive a 10 mile queue of totally trendy people spans round the block. Why does everyone else share your EXCELLENT taste? Well unless you become a superstar or snog a footballer you’re not getting on any VIP lists soon.
BUT do not fear we here at the Guestlist Network are so nice and lovely we’ve only gone and scouted out some top secret nights out in London. So shhhh and listen and make sure you don’t tell your mates.
Gingerlines HQ.
A secret location into a different world. Gingerline HQ is a dining experience like no other! The concept and the menu are kept in complete secrecy until the night. Even the location of the evening is not given until 60 minutes before it begins.
Don’t worry it won’t be off to Paris with an hour’s notice all the locations are in East London near the tube line or as they call it the Gingerline. The team will collect you from the tube and down the rabbit hole into their wonderland of four course dining and extravagant splendour.
Location: TBC
Drink Shop and Dance.
You’re strolling down Caledonian Road and you fancy a nice cuppa, why not pop into Drink Shop Do? This delightfully kitsch café is full of the sort of things you clutter coffee tables with because they are just “Oh so cute.” You finish your cuppa and your retro sweeties over a game of scrabble ,but that saucy triple word score has captured your imagination and ignited the party animal hidden in you.
Well you scrabble minx do not fear as you stand above the Jekyll to this quaint café’s Mr Hyde. Find the door down to the basement and hidden in an ex sex shop is a bar, where anything and everything goes. Follow the neon signs by the toilets and stumble upon their own dirty little secret.
Location: 9 Caledonian Road, London,
The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town .
Enter the Breakfast club and ask to see the Mayor and then through the fridge, like a chillier Narnia, this is the way to this secret speakeasy. Dimly lit with some excellent cocktails this bar thankfully doesn’t take itself too seriously and is instead an impressive secret bar. This is the most exclusive of secret clubs as you will need to email the Mayor in advance to book your place.
Location: The Breakfast Club in Spitalfields and ask to see The Mayor.
New Evaristo Club
The New Evaristo Club or ‘Trisha’s’ to its friends is a no fuss, no airs or graces good old fashioned drinking den. The entrance to this hidden gem a simple front door with a small metal place inscribed New Evaristo Club. You descend the stairs to where there may or may not be a doorman and are greeted not by the usual “quirky” bars that are rife in east London but rather a genuinely cool place to drink. Drinks are reasonable and if you’re lucky you may get served by the lady herself Trisha, an experience you won’t forget if you can find it.
Location: Greek St, Soho, London.
La Bodega Negra
Access to this bar is not for the faint hearted. First you must enter the neon signed sex shop and find your way to the basement, if you make it this far without turning completely tomato faced you have earned your way thus far. Not only is the novelty of this hidden Mexican boozer excellent but so are the drinks and cuisine.
So don’t be a Mexican’t be a Mexican and brave your way through freaky bi-focal old men and 12inch - well you knows to this super cool bar.
Location : Old Compton Street, Soho
Crypt Gallery
