Venice at Home

This past weekend exhibited some of the best of London weather. Sun and blue skies, and with that comes excursions to enjoy the best of what London has to offer. With no shortage of interesting destinations, one that is not as highly populated as perhaps some others is Little Venice.

Located near Warwick Avenue tube station, which constantly prompts one to break into the Duffy hit of the same name, it is the place where the Grand Union and Regent’s Canals meet and what has sprung up is a miniature version of the Italian city where you can enjoy a coffee on the river, take a boat ride into the wonderfully diverse Camden Lock or just wander leisurely around the picturesque and tranquil area of a large, busy city.

There are also always things going on at the Canal Café Theatre so check out their website and time your visit with a performance. You will not be disappointed with the little surprise that is Little Venice.
