SPICE GIRLS PLEASE COME BACKKKK

Other | Monday 13th August 2012 | Osh

Stratford screamed to life last night at the Olympics closing ceremony when the Spice Girls put on a performance to remember. The band that brought girl power to another level had reunited after 5 years and performed some of their unforgettable singles.  Even the Mayor of London Mr. Boris Johnson and PM David Cameron were spotted dancing (incredibly well…) to the 90s smash hit “Spice Up Your Life”.

I’m sure you will agree that the performance threw people back to the days where they used to jiggle around in nighties in their living rooms whenever a Spice hit came on the TV screen. Yes there may be a lot of glamorous girl groups around but the Spice Girls broke through at a time where the scene was dominated by prominent boy bands. They will always be known as the girl group that started it all.

Its been a while since the 90s but the Spice Girls were still able to power up the completely in awe crowds of fans. A re-release of their greatest hits would no doubt receive waves of support. There has been some incredible music brought out by British artists since then but I think the people that watched the ceremony from all over the world will all agree that there has still been nothing to beat some good old Spice. They proved themselves truly worthy of being the ultimate girl group of the 90s and they still have it in them to top the charts a second time over. No techno add-ins, no club mixing just straight old-school Spice one more time.
