Beware of the ‘Blackhole’ Twitter Virus

Friday 27th July 2012 | Osh

Twitter users everywhere may today have woken up to see that they have been sent a tweet with a link claiming to be a picture or some news about them. Do not click on this under any circumstances as this link will redirect you to a Russian website which will plague your PC with ‘Blackhole’ exploit kit.

Right now the tweets say ‘It’s about you’ but researchers have warned that cyber-criminals could change the words at any time so do not click on any unknown tweets with links. Graham Cluley, the senior technology consultant at Sophos said “If you see tweets like this, please do not click on them. There isn't a photo of you waiting at the end of the link - and the accounts that are spreading the messages have either been compromised by hackers or have been created by hackers with the purpose of spreading the dangerous links.’

To all the cyber-criminals out there, if you spread cyber disease karma will give you venerial disease, so expect to find a blackhole soon where your dix/ vags used to be!
