Did Someone order a reality check
We’ve all thought about it. Just what would it be like to be a celebrity? On the scale of Katie Price and whoever is the latest tabloid darling nowadays. Don’t lie. Heck even I wonder what it must be like to be as famous as Russell Brand. But then again I say “man it must suck being a celeb”. Imagine people following you very where trying to get to every bit of information they can get from you, flipping through your rubbish looking anything to write about. I get that it has its rewards; the fame, the money and women/men, people know who you are and you get a ridicules amount of free stuff. Only a few things stand out for me as highlights (the money, women and free stuff). I would hate for people to be stopping me as I walk down the street asking for photos and autographs. Being Famous must suck, I mean if you enter a show like Big Brother with the express interest in becoming a celebrity shame on you and your family. Would you be that vain enough to degrade yourself by any means necessary just so you can get a few pictures in a magazine? Or do you go the Kim K route having no foreseeable talent other than a larger than normal backside and selling an Sextape with a c-list singer. However you get famous I don’t envy you, well maybe your money. If you get the change to watch the film I’m Still here By Casey Affleck, a great take on the media perception of an actor who abandons his craft to become a Hip Hop Artist. Taking inspiration from the Celebrity Culture to craft this perception of himself eaten up by the media and everyone until it is found to be a massive hoax. By the end The actor was finding himself to be shown in the a different way than before. So still want to be celebrity? Really? Think about.
