Sainsbury's Is Going All Tech On Us!!!

Wednesday 20th June 2012 | Osh

It’s the U.K’s third biggest supermarket and it’s making its way into new generation technology.

It may not be the first supermarket to embrace new technology but it is the most recent. Sainsbury’s has joined the electronic-book hype by purchasing an e-books website and software platform from HMV for the price of £1… they’re going to be so skint it’s unbelievable!

E-books have been taking over hardback and paperback books as they’re easier to carry and quicker to access. Although sales in the virtual world are only increasing as smartphones and tablet devices are gathering more buyers; there’s still bigger revenue for tangible books. At Bloomsbury Publishing sales of e-books rocketed 159% to £5.7 million last year. So why don’t you spoil yourself, buy a tablet and use Sainsbury’s newly acquired Anobii to download those reliable, never fading, never falling apart e-books.

If you’re someone who’s loyal to their brand then don’t worry, Tesco sells e-books too!
