The biggest winners at last night's star studded Bafta Awards hosted in the London Royal Festival Hall by Dara O’Brian, included the drama about the serial killer Fred West and ITV1 show Appropriate Adult. They both took away three awards which included leading actor, leading actress and best supporting actress.
Other big awards including best supporting actor went to Andrew Scott for his role in the murder drama Sherlock, he paid homage to the outstanding Benedict Cumberbatch who plays the lead role in the drama.
BBC1’s Mrs Browns Boys clinched the award for Situation Comedy, beating the likes of Rev and Fresh Meat that stars comedian, Jack Whitehall. Coronation Street took home awards for both Best Soap and Best Continuing Drama.
The last award of the evening was presented to Rolf Harris, he collected the Bafta Fellowship award for his long standing contribution to entertainment art and television. Harris was said to be humbled and lucky that the things he loves doing most in life have become his career.
