Minaj’s second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, was just released on April, 2.
In the world of hip-hop, there is one name on everyone’s lips at the moment: Nicki Minaj. It’s not surprising the American singer is called The Queen of Hip-Hop. In 2010, she’s made a name for herself after her first album, Pink Friday. She was championed by Lil Wayne, has worked with Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and Eminem, and she was the first woman to be included in MTV’s “Hottest MC” list. In 2011, she won 2 American Music Awards. Her 2nd album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was released on April. The album features collaboration with great names like Madonna, Chris Brown, Hit-Boy, Dr Luke… Her released 2nd single, Right by My side, which features Chris Brown, was peaked at number 24 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Her 3rd single Bizz in the trap was picked 24 on the US Billboard Rap Songs Charts. She received a nomination as International Breakthrough Ac at Brit Awards.
Minaj’s style is brash, playful and tough at the same time, which has done her success. She also can be happy about the fact that her rocketing profile is throwing open the doors to a new generation of women.
