Lady GaGa Launches Born This Way Foundation.
The singer and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, launched their foundation at Harvard University.
They hope to empower the youth of America and the New York natives kicked off their inspirational foundation in front of a crowd with included the legend that is Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah said she was recently talking to ‘the great Gloria Steinham’ who told her that ‘Sometimes the only way you can get attention to a problem is to freak people out, break the form, you have to stop playing the game in order to change the content.’
The star also praised Lady Gaga for sharing many of her core beliefs. She described the singer/ songwriter as ‘not just singing songs, but being that force for good’ reiterating what Gaga previously said about her purpose on earth.
‘She is changing consciousness.’ Lady Gaga is often known for being unconventional, and at times controversial which is one of the reasons people find her so intriguing.
Gaga said ‘This is not an anti-bullying foundation; this is a youth empowerment foundation.’ She realises that it’s not a quick answer, but about transformative change in culture over a period of time.
