Davy Jones Dies At 66 Thursday 1st March 2012 | Osh The lead singer of the 60’s group The Monkees passed away yesterday due to a heart attack. He leaves behind his wife Jessica and four daughters from previous relationships. The singer had reportedly been complaining of chest pains in Florida a couple of days ago. A representative for Davy said that they received a call from the Martin Memorial Hospital to say that he had not survived the attack. Davy and his band mates Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork were behind legendary classics like Daydream Believer and Last Train To Clarksville. The British performer also had a successful acting career with roles in the musical Oliver! and several television shows.
