Recipe for... Festival

The name speaks for itself really and with this not- so- exciting weather, why not warm yourself up with a taste of the Caribbean? The sweetness of this will bring a smile to your face... and the recipe is simple! So what are you waiting for?  

Ingredients:

1 cup of cornmeal

1 cup of plain flour

2 tablespoon on sugar

½ teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

Method:

1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.

2. Add just enough water to turn the mixture into a dough.

3. Divide the mixture and create egg sized portions.

4. Slightly flatten the doughs that you have just made.

5. Fry these until they are golden brown. You can use a pan or a deep fat fryer!
