Goldie’s creative vision is empowering and reflects his ability to channel his personal documents. He is an actor and known as a ‘celebrity character’ but British music owes a debt of gratitude to Clifford Prince. He infuses everything he attempts with his own personality.
Goldie said that drum & bass is like a visual language and a unique underground subculture. ‘Metalheadz is one branch of that tree: The Wild Style of drum & bass.’ It has maintained legendary status for its catalogue of anthems, and importantly for its unbending, uncompromising attitude.
‘Metalheadz is about creative freedom, about alchemy and magic.’ The 100th single, Goldie’s ‘Freedom’ features Natalie Duncan, a singer and musician who was mentored by him.
METH100 is to be released as a one track limited edition vinyl with a hand written statement from Goldie etched on the back. Following the release the Metalheadz catalogue will be renumbered as a ‘rebirth.’
