BBC Asks For Children To Organise Their Parents Weddings

As a quest to reflect modern Britain children are being asked to organise parents weddings.
In a reality programme called ‘Marrying Mum And Dad’ tradition is completely ignored as children from as young as 7 take charge of a wedding, including details like bridal gowns and dreaming up surprise themes. They can spend up to £10,000.
The corporation wants to feature a variety of cases, including those remarrying after divorce, parents who are cohabiting and even homosexual couples will be involved.
Weddings are stressful enough for adults to handle, and critics have claimed that it is too much responsibility for youngsters. There is also the issue that it’s trivialising marriage.
Children will be aged between 7 and 12 and though they will not be able to arrange the hen or stag do for obvious reasons, they are able to be in control with all other aspects. From entertainment to the cake, to the dress and transport they have free reign.
Parents could be walking down the aisle to Shrek and other animated characters, so producers have told them to prepare for unconventional ideas and adapt to youthful tastes.
Let’s see if they can handle the challenge as well as grooms on a similar show, Don’t Tell The Bridge in which the pair spend three weeks apart and all decisions are based purely on the groom’s choices.
