What Size You Really Are In Each Clothes Shop

There’s finally a way for all you shopaholics to truly know your size! (But you need to check online! It’s a lot more helpful than stores).
We all know how annoying it is to get basketfuls of clothes, lugging them around busy shops all day and mentally planning where you will wear your bargain buy! Only to find that the size 12 jumper you’re really excited about is too tight (You’re always a 12!). The frustrating thing is a size 12 in New Look is very different to that of M&S and equally dissimilar to French Connection.
The old high street trick is called ‘vanity sizing’ (understating clothes sizes to make shoppers feel slimmer) but most of us are frustrated when we actually try the clothes on and are far from pleased with the result.
One clever shopper became so fed up that she devised a website which tells women what size will fit them in each store.
Anna Powell- Smith, a Computer programmer created the What Size Am I? website. Women are required to enter their measurements, and then told what dress size they should go for at a range of stores including Next, Zara and Gap. If that’s not enough, it also suggests which shops are most likely to have something suitable, so people can avoid hunting in Whistles, for example if Warehouse is going to offer a better fit. This woman is a genius! You should definitely check this out if you want to save a lot of time and effort.
