A Manchester City fan celebrates her 88th birthday by being the club’s match day mascot, finally achieving her ambition.
Celia Hodkin has been watching Man City since 1933, and met the team before the game against Fulham after her daughter Cath wrote a letter to the Premier League leaders.
After the final whistle she received a birthday cake, as well as a signed football from City legend Mike Summerbee and a tour of the Etihad stadium. Mrs Hodkin said "I first saw city when I was nine. It’s not been easy supporting them for all these years."
