Guestlist Recommends... Givers

Following the footsteps of Vampire Weekend, this fun Louisiana Afro pop five some will put a smile on your face.
African rooted pop has had a resurgence in the past couple of years with the massive mainstream success of Vampire Weekend and of course you can’t mention Afro-pop without mentioning Paul Simon’s classic ‘Graceland’. Now Givers are adding their fresh and fun take on it with their debut full length album In Light which has been supported by Zane Lowe, picking tracks for his Hottest Record In The World. The fivesome from LaFayette, Louisiana, met while at the University of New Orleans and started recording their quirky afro-pop that is taking both sides of the Atlantic by storm. Currently touring the UK with up and coming electro-indie group Zulu Winter, this summer’s festival season will be sure to have Givers on their line-up.
