The second biggest city in the UK, The Guestlist Network gives you the lowdown on the hottest clubs, venues and events in Brum. Known for its nightlife and music scene, Birmingham is a breeding ground for fresh, new talent. Rock music has always been a hugely popular music genre in the city and there’s always plenty of local promoters putting on the latest most exiting acts. However, over recent years, pop and drum and bass have started to take over, Birmingham has always been a music city with plenty of clubs, pubs and events to attend.

1. Gatecrasher

Gatecrasher is famous for showcasing rising talent in the r‘n’b and drum and bass scene. Complete with mirror balls and advanced light and sound systems, Gatecrasher is the best place to rave with music genres that vary each night. With artists such as Tinie Tempah playing in early 2010, it’s clear to see that Gatecrasher is the place that everybody wants to be in this city.
2. The Island Bar

Voted as one of the best bars in the UK, The Island bar is host to the latest DJs, acoustic acts, soul, funk and jazz acts. The venue also contains a Tiki bar which gives regular cocktail masterclasses to visitors. These cheaply priced as well as free events attract a large wave of students and tourists which keeps The Island Bar’s reputation.

This 1500 capacity venue boasts a unique clubbing experience for its customers. The Custard factory provides the best in dance music, ideal for students, it’s one of the best underground nights in Birmingham. In the past it has given us big names such as Calvin Harris, Pendulum, Groove Armada and Basement Jaxx.
