Roxxxan is about to land

OK, so grime music in the UK has taken off in a big way in the last couple of years. We’ll soon be able to say that some of the UK’s top rappers will soon to become one of our hottest exports, besides potatoes. With Tinie Tempah already reaching platinum status across the pond and now featuring on a new song with ROC NATION wonder boy J.Cole and his London comrade Wretch 32, it’s only a matter of time before UK rappers start to make major waves abroad.
But wait, it’s not only about the guys? This last year we have seen some serious female MC’s surfacing and really stamping their identity on the game. Mz.Bratt, Lady Leshurr, Ms.Dynamite, Baby Blue, A.Dot have all been on their grind, lacing beats with their own unique style and flows. With 2012 hot on our heels and a host of new talent emerging from around the UK, the “grime game” is about to be hit with one of the most hardest, meanest lyrical ladies grime has to offer. ..Roxxxan.
Hailing from Birmingham, the 22 year old describes her sound as “leftfield” and definitely not the norm. Following her buzz track “tear”, she is currently busy in the studio with some of the UK’s top producers, perfecting her sound and style which guarantees to be nothing that we have heard before. But she doesn’t stop there, signed to Polydor records, she’s about to get on the “buzz” train yet again with her forthcoming mixtape “Prepare for when I land”. The title says it all, but after hearing her freestyle over Hudson Mohawke’s “Thunder Bay”, I don’t think even NASA will be prepared for her landing.
