Harold Hackett’s 4,800 bottles

A man from the smallest province in Canada is very popular after having used 4,800 bottles to create his very own network of friends. However, Harold is not a generous friend who buys a huge round of drinks every night to socialise. The Canadian man has tossed more than 4,800 bottled messages into the Atlantic Ocean in the past 15 years and has received more than 3,100 replies by mail. Russia, Iceland, Florida, the UK Africa and even the Bahamas are countries that have responded to Harold’s floating messages since right back in 1996.
