Fabio And Grooverider To Headline 'Jump'
Legendary pioneering stars of the d & b scene, Fabio and Grooverider have trail-bazed their way across the world with their heavy atmospheric beats and huge basslines, and continue to do so with their weekly Radio 1 show and DJ sets. The DJ duo have also just released their own unique Masterpiece triple CD on Ministry Of Sound, a musical snapshot of their own story, influences and inspirations. They’ve been at the cornerstone of the drum and bass scene for over two decades and have entertained a worldwide audience through countless DJing schedules and a weekly BBC Radio 1 radio show. This triple disc set finishes with an epic ’91 – 2003 drum and bass mix, which is pure fire.
Over in Room 1 it’s deep underground house all the way with Special Guest,SpencerParker (Rekids/Saved/Ovum) flying in from Berlin to drop exclusive house and techno tracks and remixes at his debut Egg set.
Also making his debut at Egg is Aki Bergen, behind his own Neurotraxx Deluxeimprint. Few dance music producers have sold in excess of 100,000 singles worldwide. Neuroxyde managed six figures in France alone, in 2007. And he’s a skinny Italian kid.
Yet despite his chart topping success, his fast-rising record labels Starlight and Neurotraxx, his 10 years in the business, his DJ residencies, and his mass appeal club music, not many people know who Neuroxyde aka Simone Bocchino is. Tonight at Jump you get your chance to find out.
His last club cut ‘Yebo Yebo’ hit No.6 in the Beatport Top 10 and he has also released tunes on Great Stuff and Toolroom. Joined by Deporto from Toolroom Records, it’s hot, cutting edge dancefloors all the way at Jump.
Rounding the line up off is the Ladybugz all female DJ crew headed up by the inimitable Marcia Carr and featuring T Maronie, Katie Barber and Sole Intent, playing all kinds of soulful, broken beats and house exclusives all night long.Already a formidable and unique chic DJ outfit; LadyBugz come with plenty of vinyl platter and vocal banter to boot. Their turntablist and vinyl-love journey started out back in autumn 2008, when armed with an exciting agenda LadyBugz became commited to pushing ahead the many underground hybrid sounds of electronic dance, as well as encompassing the finest elements and paying homage to Black music of yesteryear.
