The Hamburg based drum & bass mastermind, Phace is dropping a new album 'Shape The Random', the fourth in his career. Coming out on his and Misanthrop's imprint Neosiginal on March 14th, the neurofunk genius presents an album that is sick and twisted, if you like things flithy then Phace will not leave your ears disappointed. A year in the making, Phace hasn't held back creating 14 tracks of stomach turning complexity at around 175 beats per minute; upholding the reputation he and his label have slowly built over the years.
Phace has become synonymous with the forceful European drum & bass sound since starting up in 2005. Tapping into the raw and technical neurofunk reverberations from the continent's clubs, he has established himself as one of the best - proving his worth through his many releases on high profile labels like Shogun Audio, Renegade Hardware, and Virus to name a few.
‘Shape The Random’ earns its name from its creation. Phace insisted on a spontaneous writing process, as for him ‘art has to be original and arbitrary, almost random and not just functional’. The un-conceptualised studio time has led to some mind altering sounds and irregular twists in rhythmic patterns, well we weren’t expecting anything less!
