Paris V London

Other | Wednesday 20th November 2013 | damian

For the second year running, Paris has beaten London to the title of Best Student City. According to researchers, "Low tuition fees continue to make France a very attractive study destination for domestic and international students" and its unrivalled 'ever-safe' nightlife is also a great contributor to the rankings. Mayor Boris Johnson distinctly clarified that "London has more first-class higher education institutions than any other city," and three London universities: University College London, Imperial and King's College London were all in the top 20 QS World University Rankings. This, however, wasn't enough as Paris beat the city in terms of other factors such as; the quality of student living, views on employers on the quality of graduates from Parisian universities and cost of living. However, let's not be quick to pack our bags and relocate as London is still the city with the most highly ranked universities in the world. Take that Paris!
