10 V Festival Acts That Cannot Be Missed

Any music fan would find it difficult not to notice that V Festival is right round the corner, and with the epic line up that's on show this year, we felt we had to give you an insight into 10 acts that you simply cannot afford to miss.
1. Beyonce
It's pretty obvious that Queen Bey is without doubt an act not to be missed no matter what festival you are attending. Mrs Carter is looking to end her UK tour on a phenominal high at V Festival and with a set complete with breathtaking lighting, dancing and of course spectacular vocals, Beyonce should be a top priority for the majority of festival goers at this years event.
2. Kings Of Leon
Any rock fan would be crazy to miss the oppurtunity to hear songs like 'Sex On Fire' and 'Use Somebody' live, and their new single has us buzzing for the release of new album 'Mechanical Bull', and I'm sure they won't be holding back on playing a few of their new tracks.
3. The Vaccines
Fresh from an enivitably boggy but equally great set at Glastonbury, Justin and co are ready to set V festival alight with epic festival bangers such as 'Wetsuit' and 'Norgaard' that are perfect for an early evening slot.
4. DJ Fresh Live
Fresh and the madly talented MC Messy have been tearing up festivals and gigs for the past few years and with massive tunes including 'Louder', 'Hot Right Now' and 'Gold Dust' they are undoubtedly a must see act that will make the earth shake when they perform.
5. Two Door Cinema Club
Over the past few years Two Door Cinema Club have evolved from geeky Northern Irish indie rockers into a fantastic headline act. Ginger quiff bearing front man Alex Trimble recently had the cheek to label legends The Rolling Stones as past it, so it's time for the band to show that tracks like 'Sleeps Alone' and 'What You Know' can really get a crowd going.
6.Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick is the hottest act to rise from the Rap genre in a long time, bursting out from the heart of Compton, infamous for producing legends such as Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre (Who features on Kendrick Lamar's album as well as producing it). His hit track 'Swimming Pools' put his name firmly on the rap map and he is definitely one to get the crowd going.
7. The Courteeners
The Courteeners have had a great year with their third album ANNA peaking at 6th in the UK album chart which was celebrated with two monumental hometown shows at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Liam Fray's band have proven they have the ability to rock huge crowds and easily make it onto our 'not to be missed' list.
8. Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris has come a long way since debut single 'Acceptable In The 80's' and mocking Jedward on national TV and his DJing skills are clear for all the world to see, attracting artists such as Rihanna, Florence Welch, Tinie Tempah and Dizzee Rascal to perform on his epic number one album 18 Months. Playing massive tune after tune after tune this setlist is sure to keep the crowd bouncing the entire way through.
9. Stereophonics
The somewhat veteran welsh rockers are ready to storm the main stage this year as they did back in 2010 with infamous singalong tunes 'Handbags And Gladrags' and 'Have A Nice Day' that are sure to brighten up the festival, along with their massive rock anthems that include 'Dakota', 'The Bartender And The Theif' and 'Just Looking'. Fresh off the back of their recent success of their eighth studio album Graffiti On The Train, Kelly and the band will be more than up for their headline performance.
10. Rudimental
Last but certainly not least come London based dance sensations Rudimental. Out of every UK festival, V Fest seems the spot where these boys belong, and, even if you're not a fan of the genre, to miss their set would be a tragedy for anyone who feeds off the sheer energy and oomph that festivals bring. Tracks like 'Feel The Love' and 'Waiting All Night' mixed with the crazy environment that festivals bring will bring bliss to any DnB junkie.
So now you've got a heads up on who not to forget at this years V Festival, just make sure you don't forget your tent or wellies...
