With just over 2 weeks until the 51st Festival touches down again at Copthall Playing Fields in North West London, carnival party firestarters, Rampage Sound, bring you a sublime mix to warm you up for one of London's hottest Festivals. The highly anticipated "knees up" is back and better than ever, bringing you the best in soulful and classic house to tech, Afrobeat, garage, disco, RnB, dancehall, soca, Amapiano and more.
Just in case you aren't feeling that fuzzy festival vibe yet, then BBC's iconic trio known as Rampage Sounds have just dropped an epic 51st Festival warm-up mix consisting of the hottest soul, funk and Rnb flavours that you can expect from the Rampage stage on the day.
This legendary Notting Hill Carnival sound system will bring you a mix of live and DJ talent that will have you moving and grooving all day long. Keep an eye out for the special dancehall superstar guest yet to be announced. Prepare to be blown away by the talent of American DJ, record producer, and actor, DJ Jazzy Jeff and get ready to be serenaded by the soulful vibes of vibraphonist/vocalist Roy Ayers as he takes you on a journey through his 'Farewell tour'. The celebrated sound system The Heatwave, respected UK DJ Robbo Ranx, and award-winning DJ outfit Firin Squad will also keep the dancehall party going strong.
As one of the UK's most diverse and inclusive festivals, the 51st Festival showcases a wide range of dance music genres. From soulful and classic house to tech, Afrobeat, garage, disco, RnB, dancehall, soca, Amapiano, drum & bass, and more, this festival has something for everyone. It's a celebration of the vibrant and technicoloured heritage of dance music, uniting nostalgic, iconic acts with the best in cutting-edge new music.
Each stage will offer a unique musical experience, curated by renowned promoters and labels. Let's take a closer look at some of the highlights:
Groove Odyssey Main Stage
The main stage, hosted by Bobby and Steve's legendary Ibiza label and events promotion company, Groove Odyssey, will feature an array of powerhouse acts. Get ready to dance to the beats of Louie Vega and David Morales' DJ and production collaboration, Kings of House NYC. Experience the magic of famed NYC party starters Body & Soul, as they deliver a unique soulful mix of organic and spiritual dance music grooves. French ambassador of stylish club sounds, Dimitri from Paris, will transport you to a world of pure musical bliss. And don't miss the dynamic DJ Spen, fusing jazz, disco, gospel, and spiritual house. Hosting duties will be taken care of by the incredible American house and soul singer, Barbara Tucker.
Backto95 Stage
For a trip down memory lane and a taste of the UK's old-school house and garage scene, the Backto95 stage is where you need to be. Prepare to be blown away by the biggest names in UK music, including the legendary Todd Edwards, known for his collaborations with Daft Punk and his Grammy-winning music. The Heartless Crew hailed as the Godfathers of UK Garage, will bring their infectious energy and vibes. Joining them will be Grant Nelson and Norris 'Da Boss' Windross, both influential figures in the UK Garage scene. And of course, we can't forget the iconic Matt 'Jam' Lamont, garage MC and resident Kiss FM DJ Majestic, and a surprise guest billed as the UK's number 1 Garage DJ.
La Fiesta Stage
If tech-house is your jam, then the La Fiesta stage is where you should be. Get ready to dance to the beats of Grammy award-winning New York house master Roger Sanchez and Grammy Award-nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry. Joining them will be the instinctive and exciting Jess Bays, who has captured the attention of ravers and tastemakers alike. And let's not forget the talented Polish duo, Catz 'n Dogz, who promise to make you move, no matter the tempo, melody, or texture.
The Dolly Rockers Stage
For a fusion of disco, funk, and house, head over to The Dolly Rockers stage. Let the legendary British DJ Norman Jay take you on a musical journey filled with good vibes. And get ready to dance to the beats of Dr Packer, the disco/funk and house master from Perth, Australia. Joining them will be British club DJ and icon Brandon Block, and RatPack, aka DJ Lipmaster Mark & MC Evenson Allen, who will treat you to a classic house set.
House FM VIP Stage
House FM's VIP stage will bring you the funky and soulful house vibes you've been craving. Chicago house producer and hero of the underground, Mike Dunn, will grace the stage with his incredible talent. Joining him will be international house DJ, producer, tastemaker, and label boss DJ Pioneer. And let's not forget one of house music's most important vocalists, Robert Owens, who will captivate you with his soulful voice. They will be joined by legends of house DJ Supa D & Coldsteps, R&B vocalist and dancer Angie B, and soulful house connoisseur Omotosho.
