Break out talent hailing from Bristol Dan Pearce a.k.a Eats Everything recently announced the launch of a new project called Edible. According to the press release:
“What this is not is just a party or website, and it’s definitely not a record label, but rather Edible is a consolidation of the different facets of Dan’s buoyant personality and eclectic taste in music. This will be manifested in numerous ways and turned into a movement. This unique platform will encompass all things Eats and provide a vehicle to explore anything and everything that is possible.”
Edible has already kicked off with a tour that took place in May, aimed at bringing together names like Oneman, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Waifs and Strays and Jackmaster. Having already hosted gigs in Cardiff, London, Brighton and Bristol, giving out free, download-packed, USB sticks and with a website in the works the future looks bright for the new brand.
Pearce has enjoyed a rapid asent to the forefront of electronic music, joining an ever-growing list of Bristol talents such as Massive Attack, Roni Size and more recently Julio Bashmore. With releases under Dirtybird and Futureboogie making the rounds, the West Country lad is making quite the name for himself.
The new label/brand/imprint, or whatever it actually is, remains an unknown entity but Pearce has assured fans that it is “100 percent freshness guaranteed”.
