Lets Talk About This: END PERIOD POVERTY! Other | Tuesday 14th November 2017 | Miren peacefulprotest PeriodTax Protest According to Plan International UK, 1 in 10 girls can’t afford to buy sanitary products. A number of them are young girls who are missing school because they are ashamed. Free Periods is an organisation that believes that girls on Free School Meals should have access to free period products. Their mission is to lobby the government to make a pledge to end period poverty! Having a period is NOT a choice and sanitary products are NOT a luxury, access to sanitary products IS a human right. If you feel strongly about this cause, please join Free Periods’ peaceful protest at Parliament Square to convince the government to make a change. Wear RED, to show that you aren’t afraid of blood and that menstruation is a natural process. Let’s initiate the conversation! Join Free Periods on Wednesday 20th December at 17:00-20:00! Until then you can visit freeperiods.org to find out more information and sign the petition today! #FreePeriods
