From Noisia to Marky, Kryptomedic MC's top 5 vocal collabs

Drum and Bass | Tuesday 15th August 2017 | Arren

American born, German based Kryptomedic shares his favourite d&b collabs.

The acclaimed MC landed in Europe with a rich history of Hip Hop, Punk and Ska music under his belt. Once on the continent, he began to explore the electronic music scene there, namely drum & bass. He's slowly grafted his way to becoming one of the big MCs hosting a huge range of sets & nights across Europe.

He's just released his latest project which saw him collaborating with producers for an array of some hard hitting beats for him to lay down his message. The release, entitled the Kryptomedic EP has landed on Eatbrain, a label which Krypto has had a long affiliation with. It racks up to 4 tracks with a spacey soundscape intro record, with each one seeing the MC spit his bars over original cuts from Akov, Disphonia & State of Mind. Hear the release over on the Eatbrain SoundCloud, it's available to buy now via Beatport.

Following the release of his powerful EP, Kryptomedic has shared with us his favourite vocal collabs. From Noisia to Marky, these are five sick tracks!

Noisia – Exodus (feat. KRS ONE)

"Getting one of the greatest Hip Hop MCs on to this sick tune, Nosia began to carve out their way around this time, eventually leading them to become the Goliath they are today. A perfect pairing in every way. Great tune."

Roni Size & Cypress Hill – Child of the Wild West

"At the height of his reign, Roni touched down with one of the most recognizable voices of any genre in recent memory. Cypress Hill's B Real laced this tune perfectly and for me, it will always rinse!"

DJ Marky & XRS – LK (feat. Stamina MC)

"For anyone who has ever seen this live from Stamina, or been on the beaches of San Teodoro at Sun and Bass witnessing it go down live, they know! Another classic from my days coming into the scene, this tune is timeless and will always bring the vibes, because its the way!"

Chase & Status – End Credits (feat. Plan B)

"From their extensive catalogue there are many many collabs I love, but on this one, both the lyrics and the way Plan B sang them hit home for sure. All time. This tune is art!"

Netsky – Wanna Die For You (feat. Diane Charlemagne)

"This one is very personal and selfish I suppose. Just after this came out I was opening for Netsky Live in Germany and he brought Diane along. It was the first and last time I met her, such a legend, she killed it live and I totally fan boyed out. RIP."
