Is there life on Mars? Find out by watching 'Life'

If watching the clever gremlin from Gremlins 2 grow wings and fly around trying to eat people in space is your thing, then Life is the film for you.
Set some time in the future, Life tells the story of 6 astronauts who have finally discovered the thing that humans have been searching for years for, life on Mars!
However, the discovery is not the green faced, antenna wielding martian that everyone was expecting, but something much more sinister.
Despite having amazing futuristic CGI and some big Hollywood names, the film is unfortunately let down by bad scripts and a rather unoriginal storyline with a very strong ‘Gravity meets Alien’ feel to the movie.
It seems like perhaps if this film was made in the 80’s then it would have had a lot of potential to be a fantastic cult classic. However, it was released in 2017, where the unknown freakiness of the future is now, ironically, a thing of the past.
That said, if you can switch your mind off and not over think these things then the movie is quite enjoyable, it leaves the audience asking quite a few questions about life itself, beyond the world as we know it.
