Sampha's UK Tour

House | Tuesday 21st February 2017 | Rachel

Possibly the most anticipated and acclaimed artist to disperse serenity into 2017, Sampha is rolling up and down the country, and you'd be a fool to miss him.

Sampha dropped his incredible and reflective LP Process right at the beginning of February, positioning the year with a head start for other albums to reach up to.

His highly diverse range of beats and inflections stand his talent high as both an electronic instrumentation, but also as a soulful R&B contender of vocal brilliance. Most recognised from the album is the stripped back piano track (No one Knows Me) Like The Piano, resulting as a heart-sweltering tear-jerker. The intense emotion Sampha exposes is palatable, as well soothing.

Where Sampha begins to transform within Process is in tracks such as Reverse Faults; although still packed full of vulnerability and Samphas own warmth, they're examples of of where Sampha has taken exercise of electronic beats and sumptuous tones. Reverse Faults creates a quick paced yet unfurled inclusion to the album.

Blood on Me is witness to the darkest and highest temperament on the album, with an ever building structure.

The already performed shows received considerable praise from sold out London crowds.

This producer, singer and creator is set to concede shows up and down the UK from as early as the 8th March, as an exciting set to be held at Brixton Academy London, will see Sampha Join with other exquisite artists, such as the likes of The XX and Joy Orbison.

Solo shows will be performed from the 26th March onwards, until Sampha joins rap god Frank Ocean and A Tribe Called Quest at Parklife Festival this coming June.
