David Douglas released his debut album, Moon Observations, in 2014 and follows it up with this taster track from his upcoming sophomore album. The Dutch producer’s album will drop on Atomnation and seems to build on the graceful, ethereal sound he created in Moon Observations.
The melancholic ‘Lucine’ is a slow-burning set-starter or else a sultry afterhours number, with a disco bassline, cosmic synth pads and husky vocals. Douglas is an acclaimed video director, as well as a producer. There is a cinematic quality to his records which echoes this fact.
