FLY Open Air Festival to debut in Edinburgh

House | Thursday 7th July 2016 | Christina

After launching three years ago as a weekly residency at Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire, FLY is getting into the festival game.

On 24th September at the Ross Bandstand, underneath the iconic Edinburgh Castle, FLY is taking things open-air with their first festival and the city's first inner city outdoor house and techno event. The prime city centre location is only two minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station, and has been neglected for years, so FLY are buzzing to bring it back to life and showcase the space to a fresh, new, young crowd.

Backed by FLY residents Denis Sulta and Theo Kottis — local boys who now regularly feature on Radio 1 — the initial line-up includes disco don Motor City Drum Ensemble, UK live legend Mr. G, Dutch house heroes Detroit Swindle and Sub Club's Harri + Domenic, with many more still to be announced, including a headliner not to be missed.
