T>I let us know his favourite Serial Killaz beats.
T>I smashes Serial Killaz with a murderous double EP project, showcasing his ability to mix up the rawness from the 90s with a dark modern day twist. Pulsating basslines and rolling percussion are in abundance, switching the Serial Killaz usual ragga amen antithetic style.
Splitting between two different EPs, the Circuit's project lets rip T>I solid sound that has taken the drum & bass world by storm. Sub heavy basslines and murky tones work with a deep influence from the 90s jungle style. The original flavours of jungle are mixed up with todays technical edge making these two EPs the best of both worlds. You can get your copy here.
It's a huge release from T>I who's quickly establishing himself as one of drum & bass' elite producers. His merging of old and new sounds and samples moves him aside from everyone else. To celebrate perhaps his biggest release to date on an original jungle label, T>I shared his favourite tracks from the mighty Serial Killaz.
Tribe of Issachar - WarDance (Serial Killaz Mix)
"This tune never left my record bag. Absolute belter in the vinyl days, still wrecks dancefloors around the globe now."
Serial Killaz - Mr Undertaker (feat: Top Cat & Tenor Fly)
"Again another belter. Little darker and more serious with Tennor Fly & Top Cat blessing the mic."
Upgrade - More
"The chap made a banger there thats what he did, came in with some mad,1 over 12 oscillator patterned mayhem an now has created a new sound in drum & bass which is livelo!"
Turno - Badman Na Beg a Fren
"Jump up producer flipping the switch and doesn't he just, proper deep stepper, again new wave of new ideas into D&B is wicked and Turno's a sick producer."
