Drum and Bass | Tuesday 3rd May 2016 | Arren

Smooth picks out his smoothest jams.

The Slovenian producer has been rattling around the drum & bass circuit for some time now. Individually he's been unleashing release after release of magic, all the while hitting it harder with Markoman with the Telekinesis project. There is no denying his talents as a producer, creating a diverse catalogue of music. Following from a monstrous 2015, Smooth is back once again, ready to cause chaos with his True Grit EP forthcoming from Viper.

The EP is a four tracked primed attack on the clubs, with devastating basslines stadium sized drum hits and explosive high energy. 'Eraser' has already dropped in the EP's build up and has been shaking things up with its wobbly beat and chunky bassline. The rest of the EP is out at the end of this month and will no doubt cause some serious damage.

A huge release and just in time for the summer festival circuit! You can pre-order a copy here ahead of it's release on May 27th.

Ahead of this huge EP we wanted to know what Smooth listens to when winding down from producing fire. So below is Smooth's smoothest jams!

The Postal Service - Such Great Heights

"This one always takes me back to when I was about 20. Always love to listen to it and it makes me feel happy"

The Streets - Too Late (High Contrast Remix)

"I really am a fan of his works and this one actually reminds me of his Essential Mix, I believe from 2003. He started the mix with this one and I was blown away"

Keane - Somewhere Only We Know

"Before I left my job I was actually working in a post production studio. At some point I dubbing Winnie The Pooh Trailer to Slovenian language and this track was in there. WOW love it!"

Death Cab for Cutie - Soul Meets Body

"This also takes me back to my teen years. To the times when nothing mattered and everything was a-OK. Simple life"

Maritime - Tearing up the Oxygen

"This one has to be one of my all time favorites. I have my moments when I listen to it constantly on repeat. I even did a dnb bootleg years ago but I never finished it and eventually lost the project"
