Ram Records recieves investment from BMG

Ram Records are stepping it up, again.
Ram Records is arguable the biggest drum & bass record label on the planet. Headed up by Andy C and Red One, for over twenty years they have have spearheaded a genre of music that now reaches every corner of the globe.
1992 was the year Andy C and Red One set up Ram Records, with a small investment and a logo design from Andy’s sister. They began with genre defining tracks like Valley of the Shadows and Touch Me, establishing themselves as major players in the rapidly growing jungle drum & bass scene. Since then the imprint has been responsible for an endless shower of ground breaking material from many of the genre’s biggest. They also nurtured a host of now stadium filling acts from Chase & Status, Sub Focus, and most recently Wilkinson.
Such an epic history under their belt, Ram Records will now history again after the announcement of an investment from BMG. Describing themselves as ‘a new kind of music company’ they will work to maximize the value of all its partners. They aren’t doing a bad job at it, with other partners and affiliates including New York’s biggest house imprint Strictly Rhythm, Brighton’s Skint, Infectious and Rise Records.

It’s a massive boost for the guys at Ram. With the support from BMG they will no doubt take this label even further up the global chain, whilst staying true to their roots as Andy C and Red One stay at the helm. This year they already have a lot for us to be excited about including Andy C’s All Night extraordinaire this Easter, and new albums from Delta Heavy, Audio and Calyx & Teebee.
