IOW Festival Day One

RnB/Hip Hop | Friday 14th June 2013 | Meganne

The famous Isle of Wight Festival is back! Taking place annually every June and attracting thousands of campers, the line-up this year has had everyone talking.

With day one over and the likes of Jake Bugg, Emeli Sande, Ellie Goulding and headliners The Stone Roses hitting the stage, campers remain on a high for the rest of the weekend. Although after high wind and possible flood warnings on the island being issued, this may change. With this happening on numerous occasions before, Creamfields especially, campers have been warned to pin their tents tightly down and keep their wellies firmly on their feet. Festival organisers have promised to keep any flooding under control and refuse to let it ruin the weekend.

With The Killers, Bloc Party, Ben Howard and Sub Focus lined up for Saturday and Paloma Faith, Bon Jovi, Kodaline and Mosca due to take to the stage on Sunday, with or without rain the weekend will be one to remember.

The storm is expected to hit around Sunday morning and early afternoon, but as the evening approaches and Bon Jovi’s set closes the weekend, festival go-ers will hopefully be in for dry skies.
