At a time when progressive house seems to be all about huge atomic drops following overly technical and at times screechy build ups, Eric Prydz is still top of the game despite actually producing progressive house. And this year he will be giving out yet more lessons to the kids of EDM in the art of the true progressive house sound.
The lessons come in the form of new music. As with Prydz they’ll be coming out in bulk, three EPs and an album. The EPs entitled, PR(10)DA are a collection of previously unreleased tracks from the last decade. Following those will be a debut Eric Prydz album, a piece of work that has taken him ten years to create. These will all rain down on the market from July until October. We’ll have more Prydz tunes than we can shake a stick at, but it’ll make a change to have genuine progressive house tracks dominate the charts for a while.
Any Prydz fan should be excited, there are stacks of unreleased tunes that could feature, and anything that takes this perfectionist q decade to produce is going to be incredible. If you can’t wait that long, he’ll be making a number of appearances across Europe this summer including South West Four Festival in Clapham.
